So imagine my annoyance at discovering, 10 days after the test was taken, that her blood test was done incorrectly. As I was visiting the wonderful Soi Dogs, I asked if they could do the blood test for her, "Sure" said the wonderful owner Gill, 'but we need to see her vaccination card.' As luck would have it, I had decided to bring them with me on the visit. As I handed the book to Gill, her face fell...... 'oh, you know she will probably fail on this drug?' she said, at this point I was close to tears.
She explained that whilst, we may be lucky, she may pass on the triple vaccine drug, in her opinion, and her vets, it was unlikely. My choices, risk a blood test right now, or start the process again. I was upset, but I didn't really have any other option but to have the vaccination done again as another drug failure, would mean an even longer stay.
So big thanks to the wonderful Soi Dogs and my advice to all of you out there importing dogs from Thailand to England, be paranoid, trust nothing happens unless you hand hold it, and if you possibly can, use Soi Dogs from start to finish. Whilst they are a long drive from me here on Lanta, I honestly wish I had done the whole thing with them..... would have saved me a lot of time and money!
